Steiner, George

(b. 1929)
   British scholar. He was born in Paris. He became professor of comparative literature at Geneva University and a fellow of Churchill College, Cambridge. Many of his writings deal with Jewish themes. His works include The Death of Tragedy, After Babel, In Bluebeard's Castle and The Portage to San Cristobal of AH.
